A (Slightly-Inappropriate) 100-Word Short Story
By Nate Melcher
Inspired by the card’s artwork
Santa Claus didn’t know what to do. He couldn’t go back to the workshop, not like this. No, they wouldn’t see him as Santa Claus. They’d see him as a polar bear or worse yet, they’d see the stocking cap and assume he’d attacked Santa.
There was no way to tell them he’d been bitten by a were-bear, that he was now a polar lycanthrope and the full moon would forever bring on his furry transformation. If only he could think of a way to help people understand he was both Santa and bear.
Then it hit him: call Coca-Cola.
