First Thing Monday

Write a list of every positive and factual word you can think of to describe yourself. You might think about positive personality traits or perhaps paint a picture of what you wear on any given Wednesday. This isn’t a narrative but rather a good ol’ fashion list. Categorize them if you like, just jot them down as fast as you can.

If a negative word enters your mind, leave it behind. We all have those words. Today is not the day to dwell on them.

At the end of the exercise, consider circling the ones most important to you or the ones you like most and reflect on them. Maybe hang the list up as a reminder of how you see yourself. Double, triple up some of your favorite and it could make a good word cloud poster over your work space.

Please give yourself fifteen minutes for this exercise. Write it up and see what happens.
